Halo 2



The following rules apply to Halo 2 played at CGA-sponsored tournaments:


8-Player Slayer



Double elimination (will be changed to single if a LOT of players show up)

Maps: Ascension, Beaver Creek, Colossus, Ivory Tower, Lockout, Midship
Map select: random
First to 15 kills
10 minute time limit
Motion sensor off
5 seconds for respawn/suicide/betrayal
Ties resolved by in-game scoring system
Top half advance to the next round (tentative; dependent on number of competitors)


4v4 Teams



Double elimination (will be changed to single elimination if lots of teams show up)

Each round of elimination will cycle between the following Sets (scenarios). That is, the first round of elimination uses the Set 1 scenario (Team Slayer), the second round uses Set 2, and the fifth round uses Set 1 again. This is to ensure that the winning team is the most well-rounded.

Set 1: Team Slayer


Maps: Ascension, Colossus, Ivory Tower, Midship, Zanzibar
Map select: random
First team to 50 kills
10 minute time limit
Motion sensor on
5 second respawn/suicide/betrayal
Ties resolved by in-game scoring system



Set 2: Single-flag CTF


Maps: Burial Mounds, Ivory Tower, Lockout, Zanzibar
Map select: random
Motion sensor: off
Sudden death: on
Flag touch return: off
3-minute rounds
4 rounds total
3 flag captures per round to win
10 second respawn
5 second suicide/betrayal
Ties resolved by in-game scoring sytem



Set 3: Team Oddball


Maps: Ascension, Colossus, Ivory Tower, Lockout, Midship
Map select: random
2 minutes to win
10 minute game time limit
Motion sensor: off
5 second respawn/suicide/betrayal
Ties resolved by in-game scoring system



Set 4: Classic CTF


Map: Beaver Creek
3 flag captures to win
No time limit
Motion sensor: off
Flag touch return: on
Flag at home to score
5 second respawn/suicide/betrayal
